The Republic of Slovenia is a country located in the south of Central Europe. West of Italy; southwest of the Adriatic Sea; south and east of Croatia, northeast of Hungary and north of Austria. ; Its Area is 20,256 km2. Half of the country's face is covered with forests. The Capital is Ljubljana.
The country's economy is based on agriculture. The main agricultural products are grains, potatoes and various fruits. Forestry and livestock are also important sources of income. Metallurgy and weaving have been developed in the field of industry. The unemployment rate in the country is very low. Although it has developed in terms of economics, its separation from Yugoslavia has turned its economy upside down. Because of the war between the Serbs and Bosnia-Herzegovina, the failure to trade with these countries has caused a great blow to the economy. Thanks to the tight monetary policy implemented by the government, inflation was kept low compared to other former socialist countries. Winter sports attracts a large number of tourists to the country. Therefore, tourism is one of the important sources of income.
